Modular systems: the fastest assembly
Octanorm and modular aluminium systems like Aluvision and Bematrix snap together or click into place, with no tools. A small-to-medium stand can be built in one day; a large one with double height or lots of furniture needs more days, but it's still faster than an equivalent in wood.
Custom woodwork: allow more margin
Every piece of a wood construction is manufactured for that specific design and installed individually on-site, with adjustments made on the spot. This multiplies assembly time compared to an equivalent modular system, especially if there are unique elements (curves, double heights, non-standard built-in furniture).
What else extends the timeline
- LED backlighting and SEG tension graphics: add fine-tuning time compared to a simple graphic panel.
- Custom furniture built into the structure, versus loose rental furniture.
- Coordination with several suppliers (AV, furniture, plants) who need to enter the venue in a specific order.
What to do if the deadline is very tight
If your assembly window is short — common at congresses and events at non-trade-fair venues (guide in Spanish) — the solution isn't to work faster with the same team, but to add hands: reinforce specifically with staff for hire for those particular days, with no need to hire permanent staff.
